Automation and Custom Fields..Help!

Greetings!

I am looking to craft an automation within JSM to create a daily ticket for an IT task.

We have certain fields that are mandatory, some of these fields are custom.

What is the proper JSON syntax to allow me to successfully run my automation? I have the ID value of the custom field. Just trying to piece the rest together.

I can show examples if that is helpful! Just looking for a working example to edit the syntax.

Hi @Jason Finke , thanks for your question.

You can just a 'normal' automation to create a daily task, which is explained in this post https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Recreate-already-existing-task-daily-using-automation/qaq-p/2658198

You don't necessarily need to use JSON. You should be able to populate the custom fields anyway.

Thank you, Valerie. I didn't consider cloning the issue, that is helpful.

However, I do not see any options to include custom fields. Is there any post or link you can point my way?
