Velocity & Sprint Reports

Question

I need to create a Dashboard that brings in the values for more than one teams Velocity, how much was committed, eg the stuff found on Velocity and Sprint Reports.  How do I get to the actual query behind the reports to pull the equivalent data into a Dashboard.

Unfortunately, natively JIRA doesn't allow you to get this view for several teams in one place. If you are open to third-party apps, I would suggest using the one I have developed - Multi-team Scrum Metrics & Retrospective. It allows you to track not only the standard metrics but also:

1. Create your own custom metrics using JQL and track them over any period - sprints, months, quarters, half-years, or years. Also you can see the % out of Final or Initial Scope and the difference between current and previous periods for each metric.

2. See the average for a metric for a period or periods for a team

3. Retrospect metrics in-place and conduct quantifiable retrospectives:

With my SaaSJet team, we built Sprint Performance Report where we have metrics such as Velocity, how much was committed, completed, etc. 
Report is available throw the Time In Status add-on.

Also add-on offers more built-in and custom reports for Scrum Teams which you can get by grid, charts or dashboards.

Hi @Colleen Stone,

Jira does not have a native velocity dashboard gadget. You could eventually try the Velocity report, instead of a gadget.

If you prefer a gadget, you could search on Atlassian Marketplace for an app (plugin) that provides a velocity gadget.

In case you decide to use or try an app, our Great Gadgets offers a Team Velocity gadget that lets you visualize the velocity for each team. If you need a cross-team global velocity chart, then you could try the Kanban Velocity / Throughput gadget offered by the same app.
