Link issue through Custom Field fails sometimes due to spacing

Question

We have created an Jira Automation for linking all the Child to the parent once they update there Parent Key in the Custom Field, but it is getting failed and not getting linked due to a Small Spacing in the Field
For Example TEST-123  Now it shows space after 123 right and the Automation is considering the Spaces and fails the Automation.

Is there any way we can improvise it using

Any ways for avoiding that case sensitive field
