We use Jira for logging faults and get the reporter information in via Power Automate (from an MS Form). We scoop up the email address of that reporter (someone who most likely doesn't use Jira) and enter it into a custom field. Our Engineering team then work on the issue to resolve it.
Sometimes our engineers will submit their own issues, in the same way. We scoop up their name and email address. But I want to run a rule against the name or email address to indeintify if the reporter is in our Engineering User Group for the project we work out of. Does anyone know (either using JQL or Smart Values) to find out if a search of users in a group by email address can be done via automation?
