how to populate a custom field with value from its parent custom field

Question

hi,

i would like to set an automation rule where once a sub-task is created, a custom field named 'Team' to be populated with the value from the parent's Team field.

i tried to add to my automation rule the smart value but with no luck.

any advise will be much appreciated.

Automation rule

* Trigger is issue created
* Condition is must be a subtask
* Edit action Field Team, press 3 dots on the side and choose "Copy" option and selct the correct field and the parent option
