Adding a custom field to JIRA Automation

Hi, I am trying to add a rule via automation to trigger an email when value of sprint changes. I am able to get the email triggered.

I am trying to add in a custom field in the body of the email that gets triggered along with existing fields liks Summary, Assignee etc. I have used the below and no luck.

{{issue.customfield_10767}}

{{issue.fields.Validator}}

Validator is the custom field. Both these return value which is numeric like -

712020:b205ac28-c278-4dd8-a2fa-79086133c016

and not the actual value.

 

Can someone please help?

What is the field type of the field?

Based on the value you have shown I suspect it is a User Picker field. If you want the user's name to be returned then you need to use:

{{issue.customfield_10767.displayName}}

By default the value given when you use a smart value for a User Picker field will be the Atlassian Account ID of the user, not their name.
