How to aggregate custom field values?

Hi,

I have created a request type with a custom field to record the work time on an issue.

I want to aggregate the numbers entered into the custom field by organizations.

What is the best way to do this?

For example, below I would like to display “60” which is the sum of “organization-A”.

Not possible in the issue navigator screen or out of the box without additional plugins.

Do you think it is worth effort to write an automation to fetch this value from all the context issues , sum up and display in the automation ?

Or you can simply export this to excel and perform the sum operation externally.

BTW, not sure why you chose a custom field but Jira has the timespent system field to capture logged work. If you have already analysed that and decided this approach for a reason, then ok

This is not possible ootb, you will require an app for this.

Apps like sum-up or custom charts can assist your.

Create a dashbaord in Jira and add the required gadget.

Also the BTW notice from @Fazila Ashraf is correct. Jira has time tracking ootb why use a separate CF?

Add the "Quick Two Dimensional Filer Statistics" to your dashboard
Select "Organizations" as field
