How do I find all pages by owner?

I'm looking to pull a list of all pages owned by specific people on my team. I've seen a lot of pages with suggestions for using Advanced Search, but none of them work. I also saw an update here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-77061 which indicates that it's possible, but it's unclear how to use the query and putting it into the search field does not yield the results I need.

I also see that there's an addon that we could subscribe to, but that seems silly. Surely there's a way to do this natively.

Can anyone explain to me how to do this as if I were a grandparent with some experience with Confluence Cloud, but by no means a pro?

You can search for the pages owned by a specific user in CQL, for example:

owner = currentUser()

The problem is that CQL is not directly available on the Confluence Cloud UI, don't ask me why. But the CQL Search third party app makes it easy to run CQL searches.

You can try some space admin app from the marketplace or Confluence Databases.

Once you get all the pages from a space into a DB, you can use filtering.

Thank you, Shawn! I read that article and the instructions before I posted. Sadly, it doesn't work to show me who the current owner is. The current owner is not always the contributor or the creator.

Yes.

If you want to run CQL searches conveniently from the UI, then you need that app. (It is very likely that you want to.)

If it is sufficient to run CQL searches by manipulating the URL in your browsers address bar and seeing the results as a JSON document, then you don't need that app. (It is unlikely that you want this, but this is part of a precise answer.)

I saw that one too. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be accurate. At least not for our instance. I'll check with our admin to see if maybe they missed any updates or necessary settings changes on our end.

I know you've already accepted an answer for this.... but wanted to note that for Confluence Space administrators you can use the Content Manager and filter pages by their current owner. This allows you to find pages within a space owned by a specific (active OR former) user.

Unfortunately this is only available for Premium and Enterprise subscriptions.

Tedious if you have many Confluence Spaces, and not applicable for non-admins.

I found two backlog items that seem relevant.

Hello, I used a workaround with Database :

Create a Database.
In "Templates and import", choose "Confluence" under "Connect" section.
Edit the list by filter the user with "Edited or created by" and click on "Insert results".
Your database is created. Now, you can create a filter and select "ownedBy" contain (choose your user)

This database is useful when you want to archive pages: you can add a “tag” column with a few values so you know what you're doing with these pages, such as: archiving, deleting, keeping and changing the owner, etc.

Personally, this is useful for keeping Confluence content up to date with fresh information. For example, before deactivating a user who has left the instance, I share this database with his manager so he knows what to do with the pages.
