Can you add Whiteboards to a Confluence document?

Logan Deitrick

Trying to see if the new whiteboard feature can replace my use of Miro. The integrations with Jira are interesting, but I can not find a way to insert a whiteboard page into another confluence document. I have tried the "include page" feature but the whiteboards do not show up. Any ideas?

As there is no a direct way to do this, there is a workaround. You can copy your whiteboard and choose to which page it will be copied over, which will create a page tree, where the main page will contain the actual whiteboard.

This is what you will get as the result:

For this example I have chosen the "Restrict This Page"

@Nikola Perisic Thank you! Great workaround, appreciate the response. Hopefully, they add direct inserting soon...

Hi Logan!

If you have a link to your Confluence Whiteboard, you should be able to paste it as an embedded link into your Confluence Page. This should give you the same kind of view a Miro page.

If this doesn't solve your question - let me know I'd love to hear more about your use case.

I wonder if embedding as a image will be a future release. People like to go to Confluence to see information right there.

If possible, you need to follow these steps:

Create your whiteboard.
In the top-right corner, copy the whiteboard's link.
Create a new Confluence page or go to the one where you need to include the whiteboard.
Paste the link you copied in step 2.
In the link display settings, choose the "Embed" option.

That’s all you need to do:

Hi,

Thank you for the above solution.

Is it possible to 'pin' the board so its not movable/editable on the linked to page? I do not see the permission to prevent users from moving it around.
