Unable to link issue across project jira automation

Hi guys.

New to the forum.

I've been trying to link an issue from one project to another but for some reason that I don't know yet is not working. I try using a variable, webhook call to webhook call with the issue in the body but none of them worked out.

Does anybody have had this issue before?

Are you trying to create a sub-task and assign it a parent which is in another project? That set up is not possible. Sub-task and its parent issue need to be in the same project.
