Want to create an automation to give notifications 7 days before the planned end date of an issue

Hi ,

i have a case where i want to shot a notification to the users when the planned end date is nearing 5 days before expiry.

I want to build an automation for this.

welcome to the community and thanks for your question.

The Automation rule to achieve this is quite simple. It consists of three parts:

1. Trigger: scheduled --> every 1 day(s)
2. Trigger Filter JQL: (please make sure field name and days match, as question says 7 days but description says 5 days)

   end date <= 7d

3. Action: send email to specific user. You can use smart values to access issue data, like {{reporter}}
