ADFS single sign-on (SSO) for helpdesk portal login setup on Sandbox for testing purpose

Hi guys,

my client wants test ADFS integration only to client portal.

Is it even possible? I found step by step guide Configure SAML single sign-on with AD FS | Atlassian Support but I'm afraid that will impact production - not sandbox instance.
