POST a comment mention-ing a team via REST API does not work

Using POST Add comment<user>) by starting the comment with:

[~accountId:<user_id>] comment

However, when trying to do this for a team, which has a different format for it's ID (e.g. 8df5a64a-7ce5-43f7-a05d-19f392b1a64d), the comment shows a gray @User tag that says "Oops, looks like we’re having issues Try again and we’ll give it another shot" when clicked. This is compared to a blue user tag that is a working, active link.

I have tried the team ID without the dashes and it did not make a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
