Jira Automations - do not send message to currUser() on automatic updates.

Question

Hello,

We have an automation which facilitates users as watchers according to custom field changes, i want to disable emails if the user added to watch is the user that changed the field.

Is there any solution to do so?

Thanks for clarifying.  Two approaches to try are:

* to iterate over the watchers in a branch and use a condition to skip the initiator (when found) before sending the email, or
* iterate over the watchers and use smart value, list filtering to skip the initiator.  This would create a list of just the email addresses to use

What i am trying to say is that i have a general rule of notifying the watchers and if one of the watchers is the initiator he is the only one that should not get the email.

I am not quite following what you are doing, but...have you tried using the {{initiator}} smart value for a comparison in your rule?
