I would like to tally story points for sub-tasks other than Done.

Question

Currently, the change in the value of a subtask's story point triggers the sum of the subtask's story pon the parent task's story point in an automated manner. At this time, is it possible to sum the story points of tasks other than those with a status of Done?

I am not aware of a way to insert a status criteria into the smart value {{issue.subtasks.Story Points.sum}}

You could instead use a Lookup Issue action to execute a JQL query that would retrieve only the Done subtasks and then use the sum function on that.

In your For Parent branch:

Action: Lookup Issues
  JQL - parent={{issue.key}} and status!=Done
Action: Edit issue
  Field: Story Points
  Value: {{lookupIssues.Story Points.sum}}

Hello @Trudy P Claspill
Thanks for getting back to me.
I will attach a screenshot of the automation.
The story points calculation for an issue is calculated by {{issue.subtasks.Story Points.sum}}.
I am wondering if it is possible to change this to a JQL called Subtask other than Done.

Hello @keisuke1.shimizu

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Summing up subtask story points to a parent issue is not something that is done by default in Jira. If is probably being done by an Automation rule.

If you are using an Automation Rule, please show us the complete rule that is being used. We can't advise you about changing it without seeing it first.
