Connecting Jira to GitHub

Aliyar Taravati

I'm trying to connect Jira to GitHub. I can see the GitHub organization in Jira, but the Connect button is disabled. Jira has been installed as an app in the Github repo. I see in the documentations that I need to add GitHub to Jira as a DVC accout, but I don't even have that option.

Hi @Aliyar Taravati

A very warm welcome to the community!

I am not sure of the documentation you are following. Could you please share some more details, maybe a screenshot and a link to documentation? Also, have you checked this?

I work with iDalko, the team behind an issue synchronization solution Exalate. The tool specializes in syncing issues and PRs between GitHub and Jira, and more. Check it out as it might be the solution you are looking for.

Thanks

Majid

@Aliyar Taravati hello! I assume you're not using any tool during the implementation process of the two? Also, which documentation you're referring to? There ate tools at the Atlassian marketplace that can help you connect the two systems in minutes - such as ZigiOps. It connects and syn Jira & GitHub in minutes.

This is the documentation I'm talking about: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/integrate-with-github/

Please see my comment on the other @Diana_Architect_ZigiWave 's answer.

Is it a public repo, because I do not think private ones are supported by this tool?

Aliyar Taravati

Mmm... yes, it's a private repo.
