Greetings, I am working on setting up some automation in JIRA for a bit of complex approval process. We want to automate who is required to approve a specific request. The criteria falls into two distinct requirements: * What group the user is in (i.e. Engineering, Help Desk, etc.) * What is the cost of the items that they are requesting When trying to build the automation rule, I cannot seem to find a field for the group a user is assigned in JIRA (the Groups that are found under Administration --> Directory --> Groups). Is that possible? I appreciate your help on this.

It is possible, and you can check which group the user belongs to in an if branch, similar to this automation that I have the sets the site based on where the user is located:

What if the user is stored in a smart value? For example, it was taken from Assets

@Aleksandra Leesment This should be its own question with a reference to this one.

If the information is kept in Assets then all you have to do is use the lookup objects action and then act on the returned result.
