How add Multiple boards to my Jira Software

Question

Hi Community,

I have something weird going on with my JIRA software. We use 1 board form Sprints and I want to add 1 or 2 more panels to my project (KANBAN) to track other project activities.

But there is no way to add multiple boards to my project. However, I can add boards to my sample board project but not to my actual project.

Worst my Sample board shows Active sprints & Boards dropdown to switch between, but my actual boards doesn't do that

Please guide me on how can I have multiple boards in the same project.

Welcome to the community.

It sounds to me like your sample project is a Company Managed project and your actual project is a Team Managed project. Check the bottom of the navigation pane on the left to see which types of projects they are.

You can't add additional boards to a Team Managed project and get the pull down list that allows you to switch between boards. That is not a supported feature.

You can make additional boards for a Team Managed project, but you have to create them from a Saved Filter. The process for manually creating a board does not let you select a Team Managed project directly.

You can create multiple boards to a single project so you should be able to do that
