Automation steps all look the same

When an issue of type Epic is created, my automations create multiple new issues for the project. 

But when I view the automation flow, the steps all look exactly the same as there's nothing displayed about which task is being created at each step. If I want to revise a specific automation step it's not clear which to select as they all look exactly the same. I'm forced to click into each step until I find the step that needs adjusting. 

I checked for any comment or label fields to insert into the flow to make it more readable, but couldn't find anything. I'm surprised there's no title field for each automation step so a customised and meaningful label can be applied. 

Is there a better way to create multiple tickets automatically, or to make the steps in the automation less identical? 

We are using a team-managed Jira project.

If I understand you correctly, you want to know which step op the automation does what without having to look through all the separate automation steps?

One way to achieve this is by adding a Log Action component to the automation between the different steps. This will allow you to add custom messages to the log so you can see which step does what. Of course, this text will also show in the automation designer for a quick overview.
