Need help with a query which can fetch "user story" type issues. However, linked issues field should only contain bug type issues ( by default, I see all linked issues irrespective of their type )

Hi @Siddhant Jain
As you're on Jira Cloud, the correct answer is to get an app that provides JQL extensions you're looking for.
With standard JQL, you can only get a list of issues and export them to Excel for further processing. This works if you want to do a one-off analysis. If your use case is more dynamic than that, look beyond standard Jira.
Standard JQL doesn't easily allow it, but you can quickly find the results using our professional indexing service JQL Search Extensions
You can use this query to find all your users stories that are linked with a bug.
issue in linkedIssuesOfQuery("issuetype = bug") and issuetype = 'user story'
Check out the documentation for more examples.
If you have any other questions, please contact our support. We’ll be happy to help you!Best regards,Maurício
@Siddhant Jain If you don't have Scriptrunner or JQL search Extension plugin , you need to check this post, workaround provided by Atlassian team member to get linked issue based on Issue type :- https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Core-Server-questions/How-to-get-issues-type-Story-that-are-linked-to-other-issues/qaq-p/1388073
Thanks
Welcome to the community !!
For a readymade solution, you can try out our add-on
Issue Hierarchy Reports
You can filter linked child issue types.
Additionally you also get complete hierarchy of your issues and sum up at each hierarchy level too.
Hi, Thanks for answering my query.
I have built a query and it gives me all user stories which has at least one bug linked. However, I want "link column" to show only "bug type" issue & not any other types of issue. Alternatively, a column which tells count of bug for each user story might also be helpful.
Can you please paste your JQL (as on Sep 12,2022).
