Is there a way to collaboratively update an excel spreadsheet within Confluence?

Kristine Gemici

Currently, TEAMS has a function that allows users to update an excel spreadsheet together on the same page without needing to download and re-save a file...Does Confluence have this capability? I am trying to help our teams move away from updating files in TEAMs and instead update through Confluence but I cannot seem to find an efficient way for this kind of collaboration?

Collaborative editing is for page content, not attachments so you will not be able to collaborative edit in Excel in Confluence. Here is a thread that discusses potential plugins.

Hi @Kristine Gemici

You can try our add-on Excellentable to Collaboratively edit spreadsheets inside Confluence.

There is a solution for this. ikuTeam Excel for Confluence allows you to embed an actual Excel spreadsheet directly into a Confluence page and edit it without downloading the file or opening Excel separately.

It also supports real-time collaborative editing, so multiple users can work on the same spreadsheet simultaneously, with changes reflected in real time. The spreadsheet remains available directly within the Confluence page, which helps avoid the download → edit → re-upload cycle and keeps a single version of the file.
