Smart Value Dates Format Causing Error In Automation

Hi,

I have set up some automations when creating issues and one of the fields is a date field.

I am trying to set the date for this field by using smart values and formatting it. However, if I use {{now}} for the value, the automation runs without issue but if I try to format the date by, for example, using {{now.fullDate}}, the automation fails.

What am I missing? Please assist. Thanks

Hi @Stefan Salzl herewith the screenshots. I do not however have access to the audit log due to my current plan. However, if I remove the field concerned (Highlighted in red in screenshot), the automation runs successfully.

Thanks for the screenshots. The activation logs of the automation rule should be accessable in any Jira Plan.

At the top of your automation rule you can see the "Rule Details" and "Audit log". Could you click these options and send screenshots?

Furthermore regarding the field you are trying to edit:
Is this a custom field? What type is this field of?

As far as I can confirm the date fields in Jira don´t accept fullDate (tried this in my instance --> see screenshot). This was a date-picker field. Tested it with Time & Date picker with similar result.

What would be your main reason to write fullDate to the field? The field (in case it is of type dateTime) would still show the timestamp and the date when filled with {{now}}.
