Restrict reporter from editing issue once created

Question

Hi,

We have the below requirement.

1. Reporter should not be able to edit the issue once created but should be able to add comment and attachments

2. Reporter should be able to see only the issues created by them.

3. Only a group of people should be able to edit the issue.

How can we achieve the above using workflow properties or issue security scheme? Is there any other way to achieve this.

Hi Madhura,

Simply remove the permission for Edit Issues in the Permission Scheme for the Reporter.

HI @Madhura A ,

1. Reporter should not be able to edit the issue once created but should be able to add comment and attachments  -- You can achieve this with Permission schema. With permission schema, you can enable comment and attach permission to reporter , but not the edit permission.

2. Reporter should be able to see only the issues created by them. - You can achieve this with issue security schema. apply security and add reporter in the security.

3. Only a group of people should be able to edit the issue. - this also you can achieve with permission schema.
