how to update version information with Jira Automation?

I have just started to use Jira Automation for managing releases for a couple of projects.  The releases of these projects depend on each other, so I want to keep the information in sync.

I Have found a trigger for "when a version is updated", but I can find no action for updating the fields of an existing version.

The only actions I can see are for creating a new version and to release/unrelease a version.

Is there a way that I can change the fields of a given version in another project?

For instance I would like to copy {{version.releaseDate}} to a version in another project.

At this time, I believe the only way to do that is to call the REST API from a web request within the rule.  If you want to try that, here are some references to help:
