Filter subtasks linked to an US with a label

Question

Hello,

I want to create filters on my scrumboard to display the sub-tasks associated with US with labels. I'd like not to use plugin but if it's not possible, i will take scriptrunner.

Examples KO :

- parent in ("Labels = Lead")

- issueFunction in subtasksOf("labels = client") --> impossible to find on JQL 'subtasksOf(labels = Lead)'.

- issue in linkedIssues("labels = Lead")

You'll need an add-on for those functions, or, as you mentioned - you might be able to do something fancy with scriptrunner.

You can do some of this with 'nested filters', but it takes a bit of practice to make it work, but I don't think you can do this with just basic JQL.

Hi @Florian ,

With standard JQL, you can only get a list of issues and export them to Excel for further processing. This works if you want to do a one-off analysis. If your use case is more dynamic than that, look beyond standard Jira.

Standard JQL doesn't easily allow it, but you can quickly find the results using our professional indexing service JQL Search Extensions.

After you install the app, you can simply search:

issue in subtasksOfParentsInQuery("labels=Lead")

Check out the documentation for more examples.

I can see that you're using other app at the moment but in any case keep us in mind, especially once your Jira grows and you start getting timeouts.
