Using jira rest api with curl. getting "429 - Too many requests". not sure why? now every request returns the same message. not sure how to get around issue.
You are running into a rate limit, please have a look at this thread about it, Rate Limit - Too Many Requests

Just to add in here. When making api request to Jira is good to know how many request you can make out. Making 2 request per minute should be the max that you go for to avoid this error.
