How can automate/orchestrate task from Cloud?

Question

I'm reviewing Atlassian Cloud capabilities and I'm not sure if there is a standard way to automate and orchestrate task from Atlassian Cloud environment to private and local customer environment. For example:

- how can import data from local DB in order to populate custom attribute?

- how can trigger job beside a private DataCenter?

I'm verifying the webhook functionality but I'm not sure that it could work within private endpoints.

Thank you Patricia, indeed my needs are not related to sync Cloud and DC Atlassian product, but I will need to integrate Cloud instance within external systems inside the local DC.

For example:

1- retrieve information about environment from external CMDB (not internet exposed) and import in Jira to enhance information

2- send request from Atlassian to local environment, such as local Jenkins instances, or update external DB (not internet exposed), or triggering other local services such as Ansible Tower inside my data center

Not pretty sure that could be possible in standard ways (but I'm new to Atlassian implementations)

I assume you want to sync projects and information btw cloud and server/datacenter instances.

For this I would recomment you to use an Add-on such as Exalate.

I had my experience with it, it worked very well to perform projects sync, and there is a lot of options to do so.
