Why is Group not Available in Automation

I have a series of Automations setup and would like to send an email notification to a user group in Jira. I created the user group:

Admin -> User Management --> Groups

However, when I create the Automation Action to send an email to this group, the group is not available for selection. I tried selecting the group in other actions (assign) and its not there either. Some of the groups listed in Admin are available but not all.

How do I get my groups to show so I can action with them?

Hi Keith,

Was the Automation For Jira already open when you created the Group? If so, maybe just refresh/reload Automation For Jira and then check to see if the Group shows up.

If not, can you post a screenshot of the rule you are trying to add the group to?

I refreshed and tried all kinds of things without success. Here are screenshots of the group (names redacted); created the email trigger; adding the group but its not found (while some on the groups list are)

Maybe click the X to remove the item in green that is already there. If you just click in the box with nothing in it, it should bring up field values, group values, etc.

I just discovered the problem. The field selector in the drop down search is case sensitive..need to match the group exactly in the search. Ugh. Thanks

For the record, the field selection box is case sensitive when typing. It doesn't show all groups when you scroll and doesn't explain that.

It seems like a bug, you shouldn't have to type case sensitive when searching for a group! I wasted time trying to figure out permissions issues when it is a field bug.

Also, if you have the field in your form already it will show all of the options. So this seems to be a bug within the automation options.
