Sprint report not showing "Done" issues , added after sprint is closed ?

Hi,

As I closed one of my sprint then some of "Done" issues are moved to my next sprint.

I just moved those issues in my old completed sprint through bulk update.

But, now sprint report/velocity report are not showing those issues as "Completed Issues" even the status of issues are "Done".

Any idea how can we fix it so that report can show issues added after completion ?

Hi @Narendra Kumar ,

your issues may be in a status DONE but it seems that they are unresolved. Only unresolved issues are moved to the backlog or the next sprint when closing a sprint. So without a resolution value set (this can happen automatically when dragging them onto the DONE column, just look at your workflows), they will be treated as unfinished.

Unfortunately, you cannot fix the report here because the underlying workflow is not configured correctly and Jira simply treats issues without resolutions as not DONE not matter what status they are in. I hope I could clarify things a bit for you.

@Max Foerster - K15t is right. These issues are unresolved/incomplete. When you complete your Sprint, it will ask you where you want to move the unresolved issues, either to the backlog or an upcoming sprint, if defined. Anything that you see in this dialog will not show as complete in your current Sprint

This is primarily a result of the values you have in your board. Make sure that whatever statuses you use in your definition of done are green (or in the far right column of the associated board). Items may be done by the definition of done for report purposes, but not actually resolved or closed, and so you are forced to carry over to complete them.

Hey @Max Foerster - K15t @Marianne Miller thanks for your quick reply here. I'm totally agree with you that Jira simply treats issues without resolutions as not DONE not matter what status they are in.

For my case the issues are in DONE status as well their resolution is also set as "DONE".

Please let me know why these are still considering as incomplete. Thanks in advance.

@Narendra Kumar but they had no resolution set when you closed the sprint, correct? Otherwise, Jira wouldn't have asked where to move the issues. And that's why they are in the incomplete section of the sprint report. They have not been completed in the sprint and the actual status now doesn't matter. Does that help you?

@Max Foerster - K15t but there is a post function applied to set up resolution always for DONE. So, is it possible that any issue can be remain without resolution ?
I can't see any issue which goes for DONE status without resolution set.
