HI All,

I am starting to play around with Jira Assets. Any suggestions/tips would be helpful.

Hello @arjun_nagaraja

There is free, on-demand courses on Assets in the Learning center link available at the top of the Community pages. Here is a sample search for that topic.

Hello @arjun_nagaraja

My biggest suggestion would be: start simple.

With Assets, it helps a lot to first define:

which object types you really need

which attributes matter

and how those objects should be related to each other

A lot of people jump straight into imports, but usually it is better to get the schema / object model right first.

I would also recommend:

start with a small test schema

import only a few sample objects first

keep naming consistent from the beginning

think early about which fields you later want to expose in Jira issues via Assets custom fields

@Trudy Claspill  suggestion about the free Learning content is also a very good starting point, and the thread already links to Atlassian’s Learning catalog for Assets courses.

Thank you!!

The best feature I found is:

Updating Confluence Page with Jira Assets.
