As an Atlassian Solution Partner based in the EMEA region, Lagos Nigeria to be specific, we’re actively exploring ways to give back to our local ecosystem by launching an Atlassian Community Group to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and peer learning.
We believe there’s strong potential in our region to bring together admins, users, and enthusiasts to connect around Jira, Confluence, JSM, and the broader Atlassian toolset.
However, we haven’t been able to find an option to formally start or register a community group through the Community portal. We’d greatly appreciate guidance on the process or any requirements for initiating a local group. Is there a specific point of contact or a program form to complete?
@Community Manager — would you be able to assist or point us in the right direction?
hi @Surajudeen Aderogba
you can apply to lead a local Atlassian Community Chapter in your region/locality is there is no active Chapter existing here: https://community.atlassian.com/champions
Hi @Lewis Tanguhwar . Thank you very much for your suggestion. We currently don’t have any Chapter in my city, and I’ve already completed the Champion application and I’m just waiting for approval.
