Hello from Love Set Match non profit!
A huge thank you to everyone who welcomed May and me to the Atlassian Community event in Pasadena hosted by SpinAI!
As first-time attendees, we weren't quite sure what to expect. We came hoping to learn more about Jira and connect with other builders, but we left with something even more valuable—a room full of genuinely kind, inspiring people who are passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems.
We're two of the team of over 100 volunteers behind LoveSetMatch, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to providing free and affordable sports, fitness, health, and educational opportunities for underserved youth and families. One of our biggest projects is the Forever Free LoveSetPlay App, which we're building to ensure every child—regardless of their family's financial circumstances—has access to a community that encourages healthy living, lifelong learning, and the joy of play.
It was incredibly encouraging to meet so many people who were generous with their ideas, experiences, and time. The conversations reminded us that amazing technology is built by even more amazing communities.
We're excited to continue learning from all of you, growing as part of the Atlassian Community, and hopefully giving back wherever we can. If you ever see us at a future event, please come say hello—we'd love to continue the conversation.
