Welcome Wednesday: What is on your Atlassian Christmas Wish List?

Wednesday.gif

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

While kids make a Christmas list of all the toys they want Santa to bring them on Dec. 25th, I’d like to give you all an opportunity to tell Atlassian what one change they could make that would feel like a Christmas miracle to you.

Disclaimer - Let’s please keep this respectful and constructive (you never know with the right use case this might get prioritized).

I’ll get things started, I would really like the old main navigation along the top back please. I work in JSM projects every single day and having the tree like menu between various queues and trying to find another project I need to switch to is a lot of unnecessary scrolling and a poor user experience.

Atlassian Product Managers I hope you are paying attention!

Have a great rest of the week!

Great topic, @Jimmy Seddon

I use Confluence to document our software, and I would really appreciate the ability to include indented paragraphs, panels, images, and tables within a numbered list of steps.

Since I'm off next Wednesday, I will also wish you and all of our Welcome Wednesday family a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and happy, healthy, peaceful season whether you are celebrating a holiday or not.

Atlas Projects:
Option to have Monthly or Weekly breakdown of active projects.
Projects as an App - I know it's coming, but when?

I have to second your wish @Jimmy Seddon I would love at least the option to switch to the old main navigation.

Merry Christmas to all my Atlassian pals out there!

I'd like to go a year with no nomenclature changes, just want all the terms in the Atlassian ecosystem to be frozen for a while. It's bad enough for an admin who pays attention and is aware of all this stuff, but for existing users the changes are not helpful. Old terms may not necessarily be better, but existing users know what they mean, changes confuse them.

  1. Product -> App
  2. Project -> Space
  3. Issue -> Work Item (and all the associated other changes: Work Types instead of Issue Types, etc...)

So stability in naming, of feature, Apps, etc... would be amazing.

For JSM, I would just love the nav to match Jira Software. Everyone at our org works in Jira Software, and a handful ALSO work in JSM, so it gives whiplash to swap.

If I look at the competitor tools to Jira, Like Monday and Service Now, they offer powerful and beautiful charting capabilities out of the box.

Jira's default charts look like they would fit well in an episode of 'Friends', or 'Fresh Prince Of Bell Air'. They were good in the '90's, but they don't cut it anymore.

Jira is a work management tool. Work Management means charts, graphs, tables and graphics.

Out of the Box.

Oh, @Andrew Tagg - I've been wishing for better reports for so long that I forgot it was really possible.
We don't work sprint-wise, and there are zero space- or epic-based burnup or burndown charts. Even that much would be amazing for us.
