Feel Good Friday - February Fling

It's finally Friday! 

February flew by, and March is upon us. I'd love to hear what fun February had in store and/or what you're looking forward to in March!

I'll kick us off - I'm excited to head to the Smokey Mountains with my family for Spring Break. It will be our first trip there, and I'm super excited to be heading there with both of my siblings and their families, as well as my parents!

March in Arizona means one thing: Spring Training!  Can't wait to go out to the ball parks around town and catch a few games.

Not much happened in February. Looking forward to the first week of March, though. My youngest sister and her husband are arriving on Saturday, and my older sister is arriving Monday. With my other younger sister living around the block from us, that means all 4 sisters will be together with mom and dad (without those 2 pesky brothers 😁).

No plans to do anything extraordinary (though there will be a trip to a Yankees Spring Training game for some on Thursday, @Robert Wen_Cprime_); we will generally just hang out together.

February was a packed month both professionally and personally. We launched our 2025 goals and did a reveal of our company core values and that launched a number of value building sessions off. We also worked A LOT on our Operating Model. 

Personally I was able to ride over 170 miles on Zwift (indoors) and completed 25 workout sessions overall. I also have been committed to healthier eating and have lost weight and lowered my BMI to more reasonable numbers.

I am looking forward to being home most of March (no business travel) and finally getting outdoors on the bike. Also, a few large projects at work are wrapping up and I look forward to the sense of accomplishment from that and adding new projects and initiatives to my list.

February was so busy with our startup trying to be productive on all fronts. I wrote a good amount of articles this month which I consider a great success (and path to improvement), but I am ending the month quite sick, so hopefully, March will treat me better.

What exciting is coming in March is my name day (yes, in Bulgaria name days are as festive as birthdays) and a workout I am doing with some gym buddies consisting of 1000 box step-ups with a 6 kg rucksack (or weighted vest). Also, we are preparing for a big Atlassian Team 25, so I hope I will meet all deadlines and sleep well at night.

@Robert Wen_Cprime_ - so fun! I have lots of baseball fan friends, but am a casual fan at best. Spring training also means that opening day is just around the corner and usually, that means warmer, spring weather here in Milwaukee! ⚾️

@Barbara Szczesniak - that sounds so fun! I love spending time with my siblings and parents as adults. That's actually part of the reason this trip is so exciting! 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

@Andy Gladstone - what a whirlwind of a month. Glad to hear you've stuck to your healthy movement goals in the midst of a busy time! I'm excited for you to get back outside in March. 🚴

@Teodora V _Fun Inc_ - sending you some healing/healthy vibes! I hope that you're back in action soon so you can celebrate name day. That workout sounds amazing, yet utterly brutal! 💪

@Barbara Szczesniak did I read this correctly that you have 3 sisters and two brothers? If so, we have yet another similarity! When I read your posts I often think, "Oh yes, me too!"

My February fun was visiting my older sister to help her celebrate her birthday and participating in a churchwide Bible reading event.

March will be watching March madness basketball and attending the annual ACC (American College of Cardiology) conference in Chicago.
