How do I adjust the screen timeout on my company laptop?

No matter what time I choose, the company laptop reverts to the preset time of 1 min.  Then I'd have to put in the password again.  This is freakingly annoying and disrupts my work.

That does sound frustrating! It sounds like your company has a security policy in place that forces the screen to lock after a set period, likely for compliance or data protection reasons.
