Hey, pals! Happy Friday!
For this Feel Good Friday, I want to keep it simple: share a WIN from the past couple weeks.
It could be a personal win, a professional win, big or small. If it felt like a victory and you were giving yourself mental fist bumps, letโs hear it!
My win was from Sunday. We had severe storms and flooding here in the Milwaukee area โ๏ธ, and my wife and I were out of town for the weekend. We returned home to find the underground parking garage for our apartment building covered in lots of standing water.
I was trying to mentally prepare myself for a totaled car that wouldnโt start, but we walked through the water and tried it. It started! Not only that, but we were able to carefully and slowly drive the car out of the garage and up to ground level. It was a huge relief and definitely felt like a victory.
What about you? Share your win(s) in the comments and encourage your peers on their wins! โค๏ธ Have a great Friday and weekend ahead.
Solved! Go to Solution.
@Andrew Zimmerman At least it's Friday. And you found it before it got out into the wild.
I hope the weather is kinder to you and everyone else.
Moved into a new house a couple of weeks ago! Mostly settled in and hanging pictures on the wall now. But good to have our own space.
Nice, John. Good on ya for already transitioning into the decorating phase. That must feel great!
Thanks for sharing!
New house, new house smell always feels sooooo good @John Funk โจ
I was recently asked to write some user guides for customers about a new set of features in our application. Normally, I just document the application for our tech team and internal users.
Well, it seems like I was the first person to try all of the new features from soup to nuts so that I could explain all of the steps. This allowed me to find a bunch of issues before they got to customers. (win #1 ๐)
As part of my journey, I made a spreadsheet documenting all of the issues and got the product and business folks to weigh in on how things should work, which allowed the product owner and I to make a whole bunch of tickets to be done before the first customer for these features signs the contract. (win #2 ๐ฅณ)
And now that the team is working on those tickets, I can answer all of their requests for more detail, since I made that nice spreadsheet. Actually, yesterday, I just gave them the spreadsheet. (win #3 ๐)
Now I just have to finish those guides before they sign the contract. ๐ตโ๐ซ
That's big win @Barbara Szczesniak ๐๐ผ
OH wow! That itself is a big WIN followed by a victory ๐ @Andrew Zimmerman
I attended one of the virtual ACE events few weeks back and at the end of the session who knew that I would win $100 Amazon Gift card through a ruffle! ๐คญ๐ซ
So glad to celebrate your win, @Andrew Zimmerman!! That's a BIG win after some crazy weather these last few days. ๐
I've completed a couple of certification exams these last few weeks, so I'll celebrate that! Going to start studying for the next one soon!
ITSM with Jira Service Management Foundations to start!
A recent win is that we are now a 5 people team.
just a little background, I am from HR but was tasked to take on leading the Jira adoption on our organization. we started as 2 people team and now we're able to expand.
Altho, I am not an expert with Jira (software and service management), I was able to share with the team what I have learned so far.
That's good to hear @Andrew Zimmerman - unexpected wins when you're expecting the worst are even sweeter.
My win for the week was finding out that my business case for moving up to the Teamwork Collection was approved - can't wait to get my hands on all that Premium goodness! Also interested to see what we can do with Loom.
@James O_Connor That is very true!
Oh awesome! Congrats! Enjoy the Premium features; that's really exciting. I love Loom!
๐๏ธ I think my health's good enough to attend NYC's ACE event at Atlassian NY this Wednesday! (RSVP and join up!)
โ๏ธ I'm planning to attend the Atlassian Builders Summit in late October (thanks to @Bryan Guffey and @Caterina Curti and the other super team for making this happening). Read more about it! Peep the RSVP link and join me in Southern California!
