Happy Feel Good Friday, Community! This weekend marks a blue moon (the second full moon in a calendar month) which got me wondering - what is something you only do every "once in a blue moon," but wish you could fit in more often? đ
Britannica says, "The term blue moon originated from the 16th-century expression âthe Moon is blue,â meaning something that was impossible. For two years following the eruption of the Krakatoa volcano in Indonesia in 1883, people around the world reported seeing strangely coloured sunsets and a Moon that appeared blue. With this possible, but uncommon, occurrence, âonce in a blue moonâ came to mean rare rather than impossible."
Maybe this weekend is the nudge you need to find the time to fit in those feel good activities you don't always make time for!
I'd love both of those types of mornings and evenings more often! With two kids involved in many activities, it's been a long time since we've had a slow morning. Haha!
Catching up with friends; we've mostly moved further away from where we grew up and/or have families now so the regular catchups of our youth are just whenever we can fit it in.
Although in a few weeks it's the yearly get together of anyone who's still with us from a company I left 12 years ago; we never know who can make it so it'll be good to see who's there.
I can relate! Monday was a holiday in the U.S. and it gave us a day to finally schedule a barbecue with some friends we haven't seen in nearly a year!
Hey @Amanda Barber
What a great topic! Welcome back after your temporary retirement because of me đđ¤.
Definitely spending time with friends and making them. Adult life is complicated, and friendships sometimes too. They shouldn't be.
A bit off topic, but the moon part reminded me of something I really enjoy, but unfortunately donât do that often â just looking at the sky in the evening and noticing the moon and the stars. đâ¨
Itâs one of those small moments that gives you a completely different perspective on your time here on Earth⌠and makes some of the âbigâ problems feel not so big after all. đ
