Happy Friday, all! I had a thought this week during a Pilates class - movement is like magic to me. It helps me think through problems I'm having and plays a part in being my best self - mentally and physically.
For me, movement is a huge part of keeping my brain running on all cylinders. If I'm feeling stuck during the day, I might take a quick (or longer) walk or even just do a few squats...or even stand at my desk. I'm fortunate to work from home and have the flexibility to do this as needed, of course. I also build exercise into my schedule and aim to make it a daily occurrence.
Is movement like magic for you, too? How do you build it into your routine?
I'll also give a quick plug to a recent post from @Dave Liao - Why do you run?
Have an amazing weekend!
It's definitely a great help to me to get movement. I live in a great place to go out and walk most of the time. That will obviously change in winter so I will have to figure something out then!
Happy Friday! 😊
Two things really work for me when I need a boost - good food and movement. I also go to reformer pilates, which I love for both mind and body.
At the office, I have a walking pad paired with my electric desk, so I can walk while I work. It's amazing how it helps me focus longer - I sometimes even forget I’m walking! Plus, it's a super easy way to hit 10k steps by lunchtime. I also enjoy going to the gym regularly to keep things balanced.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts - have an amazing weekend too! 🙌
