My Journey as an Atlassian Community Champion 🌟

From user to Champion - building bridges, one community at a time!

Hi everyone!

I’m Anahit Sukiasyan, and I’m incredibly excited to share a little piece of my journey as an Atlassian Community Champion with you!

I’ve been working with Atlassian tools for over 5 years now - starting from the Data Center versions to fully embracing the Cloud environment.
I’ve used Atlassian tools across different teams and organizations, always with one goal in mind: to help people get the best out of what Atlassian has to offer.

Back in December 2024, while exploring the Atlassian Community, I came across the Community Champions program (previously known as Community Leaders). It instantly sparked something in me. I’ve always been a community-driven person - leading my own book club called Your Library, where we organize monthly events and create meaningful connections. So when I saw that Atlassian had a space that values knowledge sharing, collaboration, and impact, I thought: “This is my moment. This is where I belong.”

So I applied. And not long after, I had my very first intro call with my lovely community manager, @Tamanna Godara. Her energy, kindness, and encouragement made me even more confident that I was stepping into something truly empowering.

And just like that - in January 2025, I officially became one of the worldwide Atlassian Community Champions!

Since then, I’ve been dedicating my time to helping others on the forums, answering questions, sharing my learnings, and more recently, organizing in-person community event right here in Yerevan!

In June 2025, we hosted our first ever Atlassian Community Event in Yerevan - an unforgettable experience that brought together local professionals, users, and enthusiasts eager to learn, connect, and grow. (You can see our happy group photo below! 📸)

Being a Community Champion has already taught me so much: not only about Atlassian products, but also about leadership, collaboration, and the true meaning of community. I’m beyond grateful to be on this journey and can’t wait to see what’s next.

I’d also love to tell you more about the book club! It started as a small passion project and has grown into such a beautiful community. We meet 2–3 times a month, talk about everything from fiction to personal growth, and always leave a little more inspired.
