💖Feel Good Friday - Sharing the love, One smile at a time

Valentine’s Day isn’t just about roses🌹and chocolates🍫 (though we won’t say no to either 😉). It’s also about appreciating the amazing people we work with every day.

This Feel Good Friday, let’s celebrate:

• The teammate who saves the day before a deadline
• The one who actually reads the meeting notes
• The colleague who says, “I’ll take that task” (true hero energy 💪)

Work can be busy. Calendars can be chaotic. But a quick “thank you,” a shout-out, or even a smile on a call can make someone’s whole week.

So today, let’s:

Because nothing boosts team spirit like a little kindness (and maybe some Valentine’s candy).

We have Jamie.

Jamie always reads all the meeting notes, even if he wasn't in the meeting and shouldn't be able to access them, he always finds a way to read them

Jamie always says “I’ll take that task”; I'm beginning to suspect that Jamie would rather do any task other than what we actually asked him to do.

Jamie always saves the day, not so much by what he does but by guilting everyone else with "I thought that was an easy task, it should have been finished by now!"

Jamie's currently allocated task is 4 months late, he's found a new set of tasks that are more interesting and he's doing those now.  Every morning at stand-up he says something like "well I had a question for the tech lead, but he was getting a coffee / on a call / breathing out, and I knew he wouldn't be free again yesterday, so I did this instead, don't worry I'll do the tasks I committed to 4 months ago today."

Last week, the product analyst who is also in charge of our help desk asked me a "how does this work in this situation" question. My initial reaction was, "Hey, this is the kind of question that I normally ask you."

Then I did some research and saw that we had glossed over the feature in our documentation. So, I appreciate him not only actually reading the documentation but also pointing out that I need to work on that piece.
