Trello Team,
After years of exploring nearly every productivity and project management app, I am seriously considering returning fully to Trello.
Trello was my starting point years ago, but I eventually left because I needed a stronger Calendar and Planner experience.
Since then, I have used:
(Trello, ClickUp, Todoist, TickTick & others)
After all my testing, Trello remains one of the most flexible and intuitive tools — but a few important improvements could make it my complete solution again.
Key Areas to Improve:
1. Native Calendar and Planner Features (Especially on Mobile)
2. Subtasks / Checklists Visibility
3. Task Duration and Hourly Planning
4. Recurring Tasks and Reminders
5. Unified, All-in-One Calendar View
PLEASE:
Please try using the calendar features in TickTick’s mobile app.
It’s by far the best example of what a real, powerful, mobile-first Calendar and Planner experience should feel like.
Why This Matters:
Finally
I truly believe in Trello’s potential.
If these improvements are made — especially around Calendar and Mobile usability — I would return fully to Trello and even recommend it more actively to others.
Thank you for considering my feedback and for continuing to make Trello better.
— A loyal early user hoping to return!
Thanks for your reply, yes I have took a look at it.
But I would rather pay this to Trello if they have a good calendar on mobile
Thank you for this thoughtful feedback @Alfred Guirgis This is the entire playbook you've got there! We are paying attention.
Here’s where Trello is falling short for scheduling:
I plan visually, using time blocks, and my calendar is open all day. The back-and-forth between Trello and Google Calendar breaks my workflow.
📱 TickTick lets me do all of this — especially on mobile.
💡 Suggestion: Please invest in native calendar features (even for paid users). Just let us drag, drop, complete, and edit tasks directly. Or honestly — just go buy Planyway and make it native 💸😉 😃
I will pay for it, but I don't need to add more tools, I'm already trying to decrease tools I use.
ClickUp, Todoist, TickTick, xTiles and Asana are already investing in this direction — calendar on mobile is no longer a “nice-to-have option.”
It’s essential for users who plan and execute based on time. (Sync to google calendar shall be the extra option).
And please I'm not sure what the difference is between “Planner” and “Calendar” — most of us just plan using calendars.
I am trying to make it clear here and trying to describe it as much as I can, but there is a Friction in the Calendar system.
Thanks for listening — Trello has everything it needs to become a true all-in-one tool 🙏
I just need to know if it is even planned to have a native calendar in Mobile. Is it even in your Vision?
