The Trello Personal Productivity Beta could easily be called The Efficiency Upgrade—it just clicks with how my mind works. The inbox has replaced a board I previously created for capturing random ideas that always seem to pop into my head at the most inconvenient times (for me, it's always in the shower! 😂). TMI? Maybe. But instead of scrambling to remember later, I’d open Trello app and drop my thoughts into the inbox on my "shower time" board. From there, I’d prioritize and move the card to the right board.
Now, having a dedicated inbox—especially one front and center when opening the app—is chef’s kiss for my workflow. Some other things I love:
✅ Sending emails directly to the inbox and sorting them to the right board the next business day
✅ Dragging a card from the inbox to the planner to block focus time
Since this group is also about feedback, one thing I'd like is the ability to customize calendar colors.
I have all five of my calendars connected, so you’d think I wouldn’t need the planner… but wrong! The planner isn’t just another calendar—it’s an efficiency game-changer. While my calendars handle blocking email check-ins, client meetings, and webinars, the planner lets me intentionally schedule time to prep for client meetings and webinar presentations, as well as, create tasks to implement the creativity added to my Inbox. When using the Planner, I'm focused on the next day (or two) vs months ahead. It keeps me accountable and, best of all, blocks the time on my scheduling calendar. Brilliant.
Huge thanks for including me in the Trello Personal Productivity Beta! If I had joined earlier, I might have more improvement suggestions, but honestly? This is already spot on. 🚀
