Hi
In the next weeks I would like to do the exam for the ACP-500, I'm now watching and Certificacion Prer Course (On Demand) but I think is not clear about the topics and the questions the exam can have, I have one year of experience working with Jira and administrating instances and systems, at the same time I have ACP-300.
So I would like to know how you prepared the test and if you have any advice about it.
Thanks!

I did some upgrades for customers, installations and performance fix for Jira and some confluence instances. But I feel like the course is not giving me any 'non basic' information and the exam will be harder than the course looks. At the same time I can't find a transcription of the course as other courses have it.
Anyway thanks for answering!
ACP-500 Atlassian System Administrator is the most advanced Atlassian University Certification available right now.
Reading the case studies and working through the labs in the certification prep course should help you prepare. This course outlines the topics that will be covered in the exam. It is about the questions not about supplying the answers to the questions.
Thanks for answering!
I finished the prep course, but I didn't found any lab, just questions in the case studies and some 'demo' questions but anything clarifying, and that's why I'm not sure about take the exam soon, because with the oficial course I can't know if I'm prepared, is short and not clarifying
I understand the notion of being about the questions rather than the answers BUT as an exam prep - the ONLY prep available - this approach is flawed because there is no way to validate the answers one comes up with.
Hi Jorge,
Did you take the ACP-500? I am also thinking of taking it but as you said, it's not really clear what the exam can contain and what topics are covered.
Thanks.
Hi @jmox
I did my exam on november, the topics of the exam weren't clear, but if you have experience with Jira as an admin, and you did ACP-600 first, is not that hard.
Hi @Jorge Jerez ,
thanks for answering. So is the ACP-600 (Project Administration) important here then? I though that the ACP-500 is more server maintenance/administration oriented and less "content" oriented, as the title of ACP-600 Project Admin suggests to be.
In my case I am more focused on server tasks on Confluence and Jira, and less in content administration.
Saludos.
Hi @jmox
ACP-600 helps you to understand what depends of a Jira Administrator, and whan a Project Administrator can do. At the same time helps you to understand the internal structure of Jira (schemas...) so it's really helpful to prepare ACP-500
About the courses provided by atlassian, ACP-500 preparation courses don't have too much information, but ACP-600 courses can help you a lot to prepare ACP-500 too.
