By now, you probably know that Atlassian has an AI assistant named Rovo. But there's a good chance you haven't seen everything it can do. Here are five things that might change how you work:
Rovo doesn't just search Jira and Confluence. It connects to Google Drive, Slack, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Figma, and much more. That means you can ask one question and get answers based on info pulled from all your favorite applications.
Anyone can create a custom Rovo agent tailored to their specific needs. Agents can triage bug reports, draft meeting notes, or answer onboarding questions. You define what it knows, what it can do, and who can use it.
Rovo isn't a separate app. It lives right where you’re already working inside Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and your browser. Ask it to summarize a page, explain a ticket, or suggest next steps without breaking your flow.
The Rovo Fundamentals certification on Atlassian Learning is completely free. It walks you through what Rovo can do, how to use it effectively, and how to build agents. When you’re done, you can complete a free exam and earn a credential to show off your new knowledge.
Rovo is more than a friendly chatbot. It can do things like draft a meeting agenda in Confluence, create JSM tickets, generate a project plan, assign work items, and more. Think of it less like search and more like a teammate to help you get things done.
Which of these surprised you? Which of these have you already tried? Tell us in the comments whether it's a feature you love or something you want to try. If you have any more Rovo tips, you can also share the knowledge in the comments!
🌱 Every comment on this article plants a tree, and so does every like across the community forums. Plus, joining the Training and Certifications group, if you haven’t already, plants a tree too! So that’s up to three trees you can plant just by joining the group, liking, and commenting on this article 🌳
