in the working copy view, you can choose "not tracked" or "ignored" files, but when you choose "all", you see only all the files tracked by git, and not the others... If you want to track/add a new file, you cannot make it from source tree by seeing really all files ?
"Pending" will include all untracked, removed, modified, and conflicted files. I find this to be the most useful filter in almost every situation. Of course, my primary repository has nearly 10,000 files.
None of the options will show ignored files except "Ignored". If you want them to show up, don't ignore them.
