how do i create a master branch

There is a 'Branch' create button on top of the interface. Where also the buttons 'Clone/New' 'Commit' 'Push'  etc.. are.

Maybe you can not create a master branch because that one already exist.
If that is the case then you could press commit.. push.. and select the master branch to push your changes into.
