Why does SourceTree not store my password for Submodules in the OS X keychain?

I clone a repository from GitHub Enterprise with the latest SourceTree version on OS X 10.10. The clone URL is:

https://git.company.com/org/repo.git

SourceTree presents me a dialog to enter my password with the following text:

 ----------------

Password Required

For user myuser on host https://
myuser@git.company.com

X Store Password In Keychain

 ----------------

Unfortunately SourceTree does not store the password in the keychain properly. The password is not used to clone the submodules (also HTTPS protocol) and I am asked for a password for each Submodule. Do you see what is wrong?

Any update on this? I ran into the same issue. Its really annoying.
