Unsaved file changes are not shown in the File Status tab

Hi all!

I have what i think is quite a simple problem, but i can't seem to find a solution anywhere.
I recently downloaded and installed SourceTree v. 3.3.9 and added my local repository.
When i am editing a file within my repo, i used to be able to see the file in SourceTree in the File Status panel, even when i hadn't saved the file i was working on. Now, i have to save my changes/file before it appears in the File Status panel of SourceTree.
I have selected 'Pending files' and sorted by file status in the dropdown.
For reference, when i use the Team Explorer in Visual Studio, my files are indeed shown in the Changes tab, even without saving the file, and this is the behaviour i would like to mirror, and used to have, in SourceTree. I hope i made myself clear and that someone can help me!
