I just installed SourceTree 3.0.8 on Windows 10 Pro, and unfortunately, found it to be unusable. Once the application is minimized to the tray, it won't relaunch. Instead, there is a Windows "error ding" sound.
Also, there's a flag that appears on launch indicating "Git-LFS not supported", urging me to update to Git 2.12.1 or later. I had Git 2.17, but nonetheless, I upgraded to Git 2.19, and the flag still appears.
I am giving up on SourceTree. Such a waste of time, really.
Yes, I installed Git manually. I was not using the embedded option.
I have abandoned SourceTree and switched to GitKraken. No reasonable company should put out a blatantly buggy release like 3.0.8.
This was fixed in 3.0.9 that was recently released.
Regarding the Git-LFS, how did you upgrade? Installing git manually? Or did you click the "Update embedded" button? Are you telling it to use the system git or embedded?

I'm having the exact same issue on 3.0.12.
After minimized, I cannot open/expand/maximise/restore - i just get the 'ding' sound
I can hover the mouse over taskbar and can see it's still loaded.
