I have a lot of repositories at work, and I often accidentally click the cross when switching between them, and they close! I have to remember which one is missing, which one closed, and find it again to add. Please add a repository tabs locking feature.

Hi @Alexander Syunyaev ,

I couldn't find any open feature suggestions for this, but I believe you should still be able to create a new one.

In order to do that, navigate to https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa and click Create.
On the create screen, select Sourcetree project (either for Windows or for Mac) and then create new suggestion based on your requirement.

You can share the link here once you do so.

Hi @Alexander Syunyaev

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

That is a great suggestion! Accidentally closing a tab you’re actively working in can definitely be frustrating for your workflow. Currently, there isn't a native "lock" feature for tabs in Sourcetree, and I couldn't find an existing active ticket for this specific request. To get this on the developers' radar, the best path forward is to create a formal suggestion in the Atlassian Jira (JAC).

Here is how to do it:

  1. Head over to jira.atlassian.com.
  2. Click the blue Create button at the top.
  3. Choose either Sourcetree for Windows or Sourcetree for macOS to set the project.

  4. Change the Issue Type to Suggestion.
  5. For the summary, a phrase such as "Add ability to lock repository tabs to prevent accidental closing" works well.

Once you’ve created it, please share the link back here! That way, other community members can vote on it and help bring more attention to it with the product team. Cheers!
